We’re excited to announce that Evo Services has been shortlisted in two categories in this year’s Boston Standard Business Awards!

As well as being nominated for the Customer Service award, our admin team have been recognised in the Best Team category.

Steve Buttery, Communications and Sales Director, said: “It’s such an honour to be shortlisted in the Boston Standard Business Awards.

“It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and I’m particularly pleased to see our admin team highlighted for their efforts.”

The annual awards celebrate businesses in the Boston area which go the extra mile for their customers or deliver innovative services and products.

The next phase of the awards process includes a face-to-face or telephone interview with the category judges, who will be on the lookout for examples of how our business excels and what makes us stand out from the crowd.

The admin team, led by Anzela Turkina, will also be under scrutiny as the judges find out how each member of the team works to deliver great service to our clients and workforce alike.

Once the judges have completed their task, all finalists will be invited to attend the awards ceremony at the Duckworth Jaguar Land Rover showroom on Thursday 30th November, where winners and high commended businesses will be announced.

New Apprentice Makes His Mark at Evo Services

Evo Services Ltd has bolstered its administration team with the appointment of Mark Lymer as an apprentice.

Mark (20), from Boston in Lincolnshire, is the latest apprentice to join the recruitment specialist, which supplies temporary and permanent workers to companies throughout the East Midlands and East Anglia.

After completing a course in system support and networking at Boston College, Mark went on to study Computer Science at the University of Lincoln but soon realised it wasn’t for him. As a result, he spent a year working in retail while seeking an opportunity closer to home.

Mark joined Evo Services Ltd in June and works for the company’s Head of Administration Anzela Turkina, supporting her with filing, filling in paperwork and manning the phones.

Mark is also responsible for dealing with new client referrals and arranging inductions for new workers.

Owing to the international nature of the business, Mark is beginning to learn new language skills alongside general administration skills.

He said: “I’m picking up new words and phrases every day, which is an added bonus to working here. When I decided to drop out of university, I was faced with a period of uncertainty and I’m so thankful to everyone at Evo Services for allowing me the opportunity to progress in my professional life.”

Anzela added: “It’s a pleasure to have Mark on the team; he’s already made an impression and I’m excited to see how he develops in his role.”

Mark is completing his year-long apprenticeship through Boston College and is studying for a Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration.

Celebratory Gala Event

On Saturday 23rd September we will be welcoming our Evo worker team leaders and other Evo staff employees to our annual gala afternoon.

During the event we’ll be inviting more than 40 members of staff to join us for a celebratory drink while listening to three speakers including Communication and Sales Director Steve Buttery, Head of Administration Anzela Turkina and Ruta Rubina from our sister company PAB Languages.

The speakers will be covering a variety of topics including our core values and how to strike the right work-life balance.

Our Managing Director Iwona Lebiedowicz will then take to the stage to congratulate all the finalists in our 2017 Employee of the Season and Role Model of the Quarter Awards before announcing the winners.

At Evo Services we pride ourselves on recognising and rewarding talented and ambitious individuals.

In 2007, Jan Palac started his career with us as a factory worker. We quickly realised that Jan was keen to progress and he was soon promoted to tractor driver.

Having spotted Jan’s ability to take on more responsibilities and quickly learn new skills, our Director Iwona Lebiedowicz put him forward for a job as a Field Workers Co-ordinator, a role which he subsequently secured.

In 2016, Jan was promoted once again, this time to his current position of Farm Co-ordinator. His main responsibilities involve the planning, recording and co-ordination of around 150 people in a busy farm and factory environment.

His personal development is currently being supported through mentoring sessions with Iwona as well as other members of the team. Jan, who already speaks Polish and Russian, is also studying English to further improve his language skills.
