Celebratory Gala Event

On Saturday 23rd September we will be welcoming our Evo worker team leaders and other Evo staff employees to our annual gala afternoon.

During the event we’ll be inviting more than 40 members of staff to join us for a celebratory drink while listening to three speakers including Communication and Sales Director Steve Buttery, Head of Administration Anzela Turkina and Ruta Rubina from our sister company PAB Languages.

The speakers will be covering a variety of topics including our core values and how to strike the right work-life balance.

Our Managing Director Iwona Lebiedowicz will then take to the stage to congratulate all the finalists in our 2017 Employee of the Season and Role Model of the Quarter Awards before announcing the winners.


Our Staff, Our Success

At Evo Services we pride ourselves on recognising and rewarding talented and ambitious individuals.

In 2007, Jan Palac started his career with us as a factory worker. We quickly realised that Jan was keen to progress and he was soon promoted to tractor driver.

Having spotted Jan’s ability to take on more responsibilities and quickly learn new skills, our Director Iwona Lebiedowicz put him forward for a job as a Field Workers Co-ordinator, a role which he subsequently secured.

In 2016, Jan was promoted once again, this time to his current position of Farm Co-ordinator. His main responsibilities involve the planning, recording and co-ordination of around 150 people in a busy farm and factory environment.

His personal development is currently being supported through mentoring sessions with Iwona as well as other members of the team. Jan, who already speaks Polish and Russian, is also studying English to further improve his language skills.

Job Type: Permanent/ Full time (45-55hrs per week)

Responsibilities:
Actively resolving recruitment needs
Managing workers’ assignments
Arranging workers’ transport
Monitoring client and worker satisfaction and resolving any negative situations
Providing great customer service
Monitoring health and safety risks and making workers and clients aware of new legislation
Providing clients with daily and weekly reports

The ideal candidate will have:
Gained people management experience through a similar role
Experience working in a logical and systematic manner
Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks often in a pressurised or time-sensitive environment
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
The ability to act decisively with good problem-solving capabilities
Time management skills
Experience of managing relationships in a commercial environment
A desire to succeed, backed up with a great attitude and self-motivation

As recruitment specialists, the Evo Services team are keen to promote the benefits of staff training and development.

We recognise that the one thing that successful businesses have in common is dedicated and passionate employees and that companies that invest time and money in their staff development often have the best retention rates.

Introducing a mentoring scheme has three main benefits:

  •  Mentees develop new skills and invaluable insights
  • Mentors feel valued as they share their experience and develop their people skills
  • The business creates a culture of information and skill sharing which promotes employee growth and development. 

In March 2015, I joined the company as a receptionist. I was offered mentoring support and got an opportunity to shadow senior colleagues to learn more about the running of the business.

I was impressed by how quickly I got up to speed by reading the employee handbook, researching health and safety laws and reviewing our HR guidelines. I gained confidence in my administrative skills and set myself targets for continued personal development.

Rising up the ranks
Less than two years after joining Evo Services, having worked my way up the career ladder, I was promoted to Head of Administration.

I’ve completed an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration and I’m now enjoying a course on the Study of Natural Sciences and continue to take part in seminars on health and safety, tackling modern slavery and employment law.

As Head of Administration, I take the lead in areas of compliance, policy implementation and staff training and feel able to suggest new ideas and solutions to the challenges we face thanks to the support of my team and the wider company.

I am also now a mentor for the admin staff I manage and I’m looking forward to supporting an apprentice from Boston College who joined us in June.

I’m pleased how my career has progressed, thanks to the one-to-one support I’ve received from my Managing Director, and I’m looking forward to continuing my personal development and supporting the progress of my team.

I recognise the same determination, dedication and willingness to learn in many of our staff and I’m eager to help them as they develop their skills and experience with Evo Services too.

Our mentoring scheme is just one of the initiatives that our staff and clients benefit from. As well as direct Evo Services staff, we’re keen to support our workforce as they build their skills and expand their experience through training and development.

We identify and reward reliable, energetic members of our workforce who receive exceptional feedback from our clients as potential team champions. Once they have established themselves in this role they are eligible for promotion to become team leaders.

Team leaders receive a pay increase, additional training and personal development opportunities; a process which continues as they gain experience and go on to become senior team leaders and coordinators.
